Margaret House is an independent, family run care home in Hertfordshire.

It was established in 1971 by my parents and has been owned and managed by the family ever since. We provide 24 hour luxury care in an environment where your wellbeing, safety and security are of paramount importance to us and where care really does mean caring.

We appreciate what a big decision it is when you or your family are looking into moving to a care home. My parents instilled in me from an early age, that we always treat every resident in the same way as we would treat a beloved member of our own family and it is this family ethos of ‘because we care’ that continues to underpin everything about the way Margaret House and our staff operates today and everyday.

This caring extends not only to our residents, but to their relatives as well. Living at Margaret House is very much home from home, which is why your relatives and friends are warmly welcomed to the home at all times. Relatives and friends are invited to join you for lunch or dinner and to participate in any of the many well being activities that take place.

We believe that you should be able to enjoy an active and fulfilling life and this is why we offer a wide range of both individual and group activities, as well as maintaining close links and involvement with the local community.
