Gail Kelly, the joint owner of Margaret House, Royston, Herts, has won an Enablement Award as The Most Outstanding Leader in Residential and Dementia Care in the UK in 2024.
The Enablement Awards were presented at a ceremony in Manchester on Thursday 3rd April 2025. The Enablement Awards were created to celebrate and reward excellence, innovation and exemplary achievements in the disability care sector in the UK. The awards recognise the rapid growth of this sector in the region, and the capacity of individuals to influence and set new performance standards. The awards focus on elevated performance; the creation of new business models; contrarian thinking; recognising and embracing new trends; market leadership; inspirational performance and the elevation of the customer experience.
The evaluation methodology required the Awards Secretariat to apply the following test to the final selected candidate in each category, “Is this claimant the best performed, most meritious, most innovative and most courageous in the category?
Awards are only made in the categories which merit the accolade each year.
Gail said “I am delighted to receive this award, but it wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the great team that we have working at Margaret House who continually strive to be at the forefront of best practices in care”.
