When we heard that Heather had been a passenger on the inaugural voyage of the Queen Mary on 27th May 1936 we decided to hold a special afternoon tea at the Care Home, reminiscent of the one served on board in her honour. Cunard very kindly donated champagne to make the occasion extra special and Heather talked to staff and residents about her amazing trip including dancing with film stars of the day and a close shave with an iceberg before everyone enjoyed the champagne tea.
