The Alzheimer’s Society are sponsoring the Tour de Yorkshire. To support them, Margaret House Residential and Dementia Care Home are having a sponsored cycle. They are aiming to pedal (on an exercise bike set up in the home!) the 122.5 km on Saturday 29 April that is the same distance as the Women’s race which is taking place that day . Staff and relatives, will each cycle a kilometre or two to help complete the overall distance whilst raising some money for the Alzheimer’s Society. Owner, Thomas Kelly, said “It is something a bit different to do, whilst supporting a cause that is close to our hearts. It will also help with some of us getting a bit fitter, as a number of staff this year are going to be taking part in Royston in Blue, which we are delighted to be sponsoring again this year”.
